What makes me laugh is that some people seem utterly convinced that MS had some kind of meeting where they all went, "right, what ideas shall we come up with that we know will annoy our loyal customers the most?"

Yes MS tried something different. Yes it didn't come off. Yes it could have been handled a million times better, and yes, they've had to backtrack now. For people to think they did it all with some kind of knowledge that everyone would hate their ideas is baffling. For whatever reasons, MS thought their ideas would be so much better received. They weren't, they changed, and this is where we are now. Some people just need to move on.

If the shoe was on the other foot, ie, Sony had made the changes and then being forced to change, would you still hold the same opinion? ;). Hmm.

I'm not biased. I own every major gaming system available bar the WiiU. And it sounds to me like you have a broken console, considering I game on my Xbox 360 pretty much every night and don't see "crappy stuttering graphics". You either need a new console or new eyes.

Edit: And what has your 360 got to do with his hatred of the original Xbox One policies?

I never got why people felt/feel so aggrieved when MS announced the X1 with all its original policies. It just doesn't make sense to me how anyone can react so strongly to policies that in hines sight weren't so extreme

I'm sure you won't believe me, but yes I would feel exactly the same. I'm not anti-Sony at all. You can search all day and night, you will never find a post from me that bashes Sony or the Playstation.

Edit: Though I'm not sure I will ever forgive them for killing off the Dreamcast. I loved that console :(
 
Cant Tummy have his own thread were he can continually spout how people are Anti-Sony,Pro MS, talk about polls etc...

As it is getting rather boring on this thread...

I honestly think their meeting went something along the lines off :

'This is what we want, this is what we will do, and people will buy it because it's the successor to the 360'

It's like they were so arrogant that they believed people would buy into it without hesitation, obviously this was very wrong:p

Dreamcast was indeed epic :cool:.

Can't believe I got rid of all my old consoles :(.

Forza 5 is definitely a system seller, though probably not as much as Halo. I think Forza has been considered by many to be the leading driving series since Forza 3, and considering there is no next gen Gran Turismo on the horizon, Forza will definitely sell some consoles on its own.
 
I think Titanfall will be a huge seller when it's out. IGN and Gamespot have already described it as one of the killer apps for the system. The sooner that arrives the better.
 
Still sticking to my original vote of PS4. I think I just prefer the PS exclusives over the initial launch line up of the X one.

Loved Crash, so think Knack will be pretty good.
Always preferred the weightier gun play of Killzone compared with the twitch shooters.
Drive club is as yet an unknown quantity, I really enjoyed Motorstorm but will wait and see on this.
Resogun looks as though it will be a fantastic old school shooter.
