Nice review. I see the dodgy 7970 scores have been removed. :p

Nice to see the overclocked 7950 beating out an overclocked 770 in the games benched. One nvidia game (metro LN) and two AMD games + f1. The clocked 7950 is no mug. Wait till Ian see's this. :D
 
I so wish AMD had sorted the 79xx drivers out sooner, my 7950B was a really good card and a great clocker, plus it cost me a boatload to swap to Nvidia lol. Looking forward to the next gen of AMD cards.
 
I got my 7970 in early june and never had any problem with drivers at all. Maybe i got lucky though and missed the troubles. Either way the drivers are now solid and have been for some time. Long may it continue.

I got lucky with my 770 lightnings.

It's the luck of the draw sometimes. I've had too many gpu duds over the past year. It's nice to have gpu's that are running great:)

The Metro ones, you really think a 7950 is twice as powerful as a 770?

Had a look at other reviews of the card and results are completely different, the above 770 stock vs 7970ghz edition and there's barely any difference on Metro LL.

I don't have that game so cannot confirm nor deny the 7950 scores. I can check for the other ones though if you doubt them.

In overclockers tombraider bench thread kaps 690 using 1 core gets 48 fps, Dont even get me started on the other scores, even a 670 @1440 res gets 33 fps not overclocked, never mind 1080p.

Someone with a 770 surely has 1 of these games to bench? I dont.
