********* The Official GTA V (5) thread! *********

You could always try the old fashioned way of just dropping them en email too, most companies are usually quite good at responding to emails in a prompt manner. Twitter is good too

ShopTo use a ticketing system for support so I'm not sure how often they check their emails, hence my Twitter suggestion :)

I thought everyone uses a variation on a ticketing service? I've always had replies from Amazon (main online store I use), Overclockers, Play.com (back in the day) ect ect within 24 hours.

Yeah, but with ShopTo specifically you generally have to log into their website to raise the ticket yourself. Obviously if you can't log in you can't raise the ticket. I'm sure the emails get checked regularly but I have no experience of that so don't know how quick they are. I have had replies on Twitter from them within minutes though.

I want it on the ps3. Noticed they've guaranteed Tuesday delivery which means there's a good chance customers could receive it earlier from them.

I don't use Twitter and can't find an email address on their site.

It depends on the their definition of 'gaurenteed'. Think it was in this thread that someone posted that Royal Mail says 90 something percent (97% wasn't it?) was delivered next day, so they could dispatch Monday and their gaurantee is based on RM delivery rates. I do hope though that Shopto ship early but I am not getting my hopes up.

Next gen gta5 would be good but it isn't all that as I guess it will be a graphical upgrade but same story etc. A true next gen Gta would be something to get excited about but thats probably going to be 4 or 5 years away.

Guess we will just have to settle for graphically rubbish, small mapped gta v for now :D

I'm wondering when they do new next-gen GTA games, if it'll be a new 'universe' like the jump from the GTA III - VC -SA games to GTA 4 and 5 and carry over none of the story or characters, or whether it'll still be linked in to GTA 4 and 5 due to less of a graphical 'jump' (maybe)

God knows what GTA VI will have in it, but all I know is that I will pre-order it.

Maybe they will go to the border with Mexico? Back to London? Who knows.

Nothing particularly new really but this paragraph gets me more excited again!

The end result is something that, to myself, feels more "next-generation" than most the titles coming out on PS4 and Xbox One later this year. IGN UK’s Daniel Krupa will be going into more detail on this topic in the coming days but, to me, there isn’t really anything in the PS4-Xbox One launch line-ups that matches the gameplay scope displayed here in GTA V.

Thing is, imo of course, the gta series has always been about the play-ability and gameplay. Graphics have typically been good but never the important factor, whereas the environment has been the factor that excelled and with variants like san andreas and GTA V pushed the boundaries beyond any other game of the time/moment.

Skyrim had it sewn up this gen as 'the' sandbox console game until this. Assuming they do port over to the PS4 and X1 when they port it to the PC (madness not to) then actually, it could take until an Elder Scrolls sequel or GTA 6 to better it on next gen as well.

The 97% next day claim for first class post is for letters/envelopes not packages.

If most retailers are gonna stick by the request of not sending till the 16th there will be many thousands of upset fans.

But lots of threads with proof of confirmed 13th-15th dispatch dates on Amazon and Shopto orders.

I'm fairly sure it was more directed at highstreet shops/stores rather than e-tailers.

whats the first thing use lot are going to do once you get in the game, im going to do a few missions then try check out the whole map

Do a few missions to get the general feel for the story then go around doing side missions and taking a look at the car/gun customisation
