Corsair 350d builds.

^^ Yup me too it the main flaw, plus putting one in makes the inside look a bit naff. Took me forever but i've found one with a black chasis so at least it'll look nicer inside :)

Mines nearly 100% still waiting on my friend to buy my old pc to fund my new gpu. Got some new cables friday to make the inside look a lot cleaner, i can reccomened bitfenix braided cables enough.

@somthing else you putting red coolant inside there?

The GF's son has been having problems with his laptop, so with a bit of a budget I've built him his first PC for his birthday on Friday.
Hopefully he will like what I've done.

Must say I am very impressed with the 350d apart from the big hole in the top.

Just gotta cable it up!

Nice one man which XSPC rad at the front is that? The EX240?

Also, will the top fit an EX240 ya reckon? Which rad did you use for the top space?

Cheers!

these two mate. Either fan should fit in top or front tbh. You wont be able to fit a large drive in the top bay though with a rad up there but a fan controller will work fine and the optical will have to go to the lower bay.

I got two different rads because i had a different case before and the xspc one was the only one that i had seen fitted to the front of old case (fractal arc mini) the 350D is designed for w/c better.

YOUR BASKET
1 x XSPC EX240 120mm Radiator - Black £41.99
1 x Hardware Labs Black ICE Radiator GT Stealth 240 £35.99
Total : £88.48 (includes shipping : £8.75).

fan controller isn't as great as I first thought, for some reason it keeps ramping the fans up to max for a couple seconds and then settles down. it does it randomly.

thank you, the only issues I came across was mounting the resevoir as the rear fan grill is not flat (poor design choice but not anyones fault) and mounting the ssd and hdd, the hdd is mounted upright on some velcro pads one holds it against the front rad the ssd is mounted to the back of the optical bay.

Also you would need to put the optical drive in the lower bay to get a rad in the top.

Got my filter today, think i might need to get some double sided tape and stick the edges down, where i have the radiator mounted at the top the screws prevent the filter from sitting flush and the edges keep lifting.

i dont want ask how big your nuts are but is this the same for most people you think?
the filter looks like it fits perfect but it sticks up if a rad is screwed in underneath? is it just with big bolts? im scared to order this filter now ><

any pics of this or can anyone else advise too? thanks for the help!

Looks so much nicer now the waters in and its all hooked up, really want to try watercooling but it worrys the hell out of me!

@sgt pepper thats one mega bday pressi! With regards the hole on the top get a demciflex filter to cover it, go direct its only 15quid delivered :)

It was due to the screws holding the rad in, i have since replaced the them with lower profile headed screws and it now sits perfectly!

Lovely case, lovely build man.

If I went for the same watercooling setup as you (2x240mm XSPC EX240 radiators) would that be enough cooling for 2x7950s in Crossfire and the XSPC Raystorm on an overclocked i5 2500k for example in this case?

I really want a monster gaming rig that is portable (and silent). The 350D seems to fit the bill!

I bought Scythe GTs 1850rpms good for this kind of application?

Hey man I just noticed your 3.5" HDD behind the pump correct? Is there a mounting point there in the case or was it a bodge job?
