Im worried we will get a lot of forced touch controls in games just because the controller has the pad, if it makes sense its fine but i dont want it to go a uncharted on vita style thing like swiping to replace what feels more natural on a button

Ac4 has like pinch zoom etc on the map screen and thats a good use, and other menu stuff is fine! Im worried after hearing a recent interview on beyond that second son will have a lot of this as they helped design the controller so will feel they have to use all its features even if not necessary

Hope not, nice addition if used intuitively

Just read that its confirmed that the DS4 will work natively as a PC controller via USB, and the touchpad works in the same way as a laptop one.:)

I can't see it being too forced (especially with multi-platform games), maybe some exclusives will use it a lot more at first, but like with the DS3 and the Sixaxis it just kinda got swept under the rug eventually. Really hope it doesn't go the other way though, the less gimmicky controls the better :p

Can't believe the price of controllers. Amazon has them at £54 each!

What games are people pre-ordering? I've only got the console from Amazon on pre-order.

I've gone for Watch_Dogs (DedSec Edition), Killzone: Shadowfall, and Assassin's Creed IV (undecided whether I want to get the Black Skull Edition). Nothing else really interests me right now, but I'm hoping we see some more good future releases at TGS.

I have Killzone: Shadowfall, Knack and AC IV Buccaneers edition on order. May try out drive club and upgrade that digitally if it's any good.

And haters ??? Well NV is doing that to gpu market as we speak... They could sell cards 20% cheaper and still make profit.

Nvidia made their GPUs in the first place, they can do whatever they want. All this guy is doing is artificially raising the price for his own gain, and reducing the amount of (already limited) consoles available to people who want them at a normal price.

Ive gone for the Shopto Bundle with Watch dogs and Fifa.. ordered COD Ghosts with Amazon due to Shopto not stocking it, does anyone know cheapest place to buy PSN?

As for the DS4 i hope you can navigate dashboard with the touchpad too, be much easier to type if they use the swype method they have for Android/apple appstore etc

why? its a pretty sound investment, its no different to buying anything e.g gold and selling it a higher price, just with PS4s that higher price will be the day after release when no one can get one and I have 5 ;)

worked amazingly well for me on the 360 & PS3 launches, people were paying £1200 a piece on the 360 before christmas

It's in the same league as ticket touts, and those people who buy up festival tickets prior to the event, then stick them on ebay at twice the price knowing full well people will pay because they are not available anywhere else.

Horrible people.

The difference being some events sell out in seconds. This console has been available to order comfortably for months and months.

Wasn't there an Amazon deal like that mentioned a little while back? Not sure if it was just in Europe or whether it was over here as well.

Amazon France has that bundle, but we have yet to see anything like it here :( shame, as it seems a good deal and includes one of the titles I have on order.

You also have all the information you already need when you buy a ticket; you know who's playing, you know when it'll be, and you know where. The PS4 pre-orders sold out before anyone even knew when it would be released, it's not exactly unreasonable to think that some people would prefer to wait. Of course, it's far easier to cancel a pre-order at no cost but I imagine most people aren't going to commit until they know they want it.

However you try to dress it up, the fact remains that he's screwing five regular people out of a console for the sake of another five morons who will happily (or perhaps begrudgingly) pay whatever ludicrous price he plans on asking. He's entitled to do that of course, but bragging about it on a message board where other latecomers are asking whether they'll even get a console at launch time is beyond foolish.

Why is it foolish  What exactly are you going to do?

Are you against people buying collectible/limited things for the purpose of selling on in the future when their value rises?
