As per the title, I'm 6'6", heavy set and I'm after an office chair to stop the unpleasant back and shoulder ache after a gaming session.

I did look at herman millers second hand and stretching my budget but no one does size C because apparently they're just not worth buying by the time size C users get done with them.

I'm after something incredibly sturdy and supportive, and armrests are a must. Standard sized office chairs are too short to offer me any kind of decent back support.

Sorry, your mum bought the last one and hung her clothes on it ;)

In all seriousness, even though I'm fat I go to the gym 3 times a week, I can run a decent distance, do a good few chinups. I'm not an unfit couch potato type I just love food, more looking for a seat that'll do my height.

aye she said you were a firecracker mate :p

dunno if it's any use for you, but i've got this one:

and it's grand. i'm 6'3, and there's still a bit above me when i'm sat down, and i've got about 4" either side of me (i'm fairly slim). have a butchers on the ikea site for dimensions if it looks suitable.

If you know a site where I can get a herman miller C second hand i'll snap it up, tried all the websites I can find, ebay.
Closest I got was some con artist running a what looked like a scam on gumtree.

Aside from that it's all B's and A's or they're private sellers miles and miles away.

Twist, whats the chair called dude?

How sturdy is it? I've heard the back likes to rock back and forth a little bit and that annoys me no end.

Not sure about the lack of arm adjustment either.

it does a tad, but i've got it completely reclined most of the time so no issues there :p

tbh the arms are at the right height for me, so never been an issue.

Yup Ikea Markus. Love it. Not many reclining office chairs out there where you can lock it in any of its reclined positions. Great for chilling out in.

So you dont have a figure like a Pitchfork?

I'm 6'7" and if I find a chair that is just right the desk is too low!

I have given up and fold my legs under, I would love to get stuff to fit but it is just too impractical for others.
