Nokia 1020 the best 1080p video and camera out of all phones?

Pictures and videos mean a lot to me so I want the best quality possible from a phone. Is the 1020 the new king when its released?

I'm certain no other phone camera can compare.

Pretty much, has scored the highest and enough cant be said about having the OIS in Video mode. As well as the Mics on it.

I think the only competition is the 808 pureview, but that doesn't have OIS and it's not really a smartphone.

Yep, it's the best. Only the Oppo N1 could potentially match the hardware, unless Samsung eventually spam something good.

Here it is smashing the S4 Zoom.

There are a few caveats though.

It uses first gen 1.1um pixels, poor dynamic range and low light performance is masked by awesome optics, size and OIS. Nokia have also been crippled by WP8 to the old S4 snapdragon, the 808 has a more powerful ISP.

The 1020 is a compromised device but the next version, with a lovely 1080p screen, should be a very very nice upgrade.

Hehe, no chance. Different markets, the 1020 is a camera phone that competes with the S4 zoom and Q10 attachment.

The Z1 is a thin flagship competing against the S4.
