Hi guys, I've had a little chat and I now have a more tangible budget to play with. We want to do the whole package for £1000, this includes Win7 and Office and a monitor :/.

I've cut out the SSD, sound card and scaled the Processor back to the 4440 to make room for the monitor and Office. I can also scale back that £100 case quite a bit, I just haven't had much time to check it out yet. But all in all, I know I can drop the price below the £1000 mark to meet the requirements and I am confident that this will be a nice upgrade which will feel a lot faster.

What do you think of this as a final build (assuming I switch the case out for something more suitable)? Would you change anything to improve it?

Don't go for a windowed LED case, they look tacky for business use. (Personally, I'm not a fan of them at all, but that's another matter)

Go for something neutral, or something sleek like this..

It looks very good in the pictures and it is the general look I am going for but I can't help but notice one of the reviews complains about it feeling cheap to the touch? For £80 I would have thought it should feel like it's £80.

Thanks, that looks like a great budgeted spec actually! I really like the fact that you fit the SSD in there too. My only change is to add this case, purely so that it will look and feel more sturdy(I want the finished product to look impressive):

We don't have any software to put on there sadly :(

Have you ever used the Corsair case? How easy is the dust cleaning? I know some of these cases include removable filters; this one says there's a filter but doesn't say whether it's removable or not.
