Confirming persons details?

Afternoon all,

I think this may be the first topic I've created in GD! and I'm requiring some help in a non stalkerish type way

I run the Brechin City Supporters Club shop website (launched this season) in conjunction with another guy who deals with the orders and this weekend we've had our first order for some merchandise. One guy in london and one guy in manchester (duplicate order). I've had a look at the details on the bt site along with 192.com (not registered) to see if the folk are genuine or not. On both orders neither show up on bt.com (could be ex directory) but on 192.com the guy in london appears to check out ok. However, the guy in manchester doesn't appear to live where he says he lives and I'm thinking this could be a scam. It doesn't help that the name he has used is also a characters name from the fresh prince of bel air!

Are there any other free ways that i can check to see if this guy is real or not?

192 is often out of date and it only tracks people who vote etc?

If he pays before you send his order, and you send it recorded delivery, I don't see a problem :s

All orders are pay in advance via bank transfer unless its collected from the ground on matchday. Its stated on the order form that orders are only shipped once payment is made. I'll check with the guy who sends the stuff out how he does it, whether its recorded on not.

Even a cheap courier like myhermes will be able to confirm if it was delivered or not
