Hardcopy magazine for overclockers?

Do either of those mags come with a dvd?

I used to read custom pc and it never came with a dvd so I doubt it does now, but pc format used to have a dvd, does it still have one?

Maybe with fast internet being common pc format don't have a dvd anymore. But I used to like the dvd and personally not having very fast internet I would still like a dvd if there is one.

If neither of these mags has a dvd does anyone know of a pc mag that comes with a dvd?

I live in South Africa, so maybe it's different in the UK.

But I buy PC Format like every other month or so and it comes with a 2 sided DVD.

Although to be honest I rarely bother putting it in my PC it's mostly freeware from various places on the internet.

August's copy came with some game making software which is kinda fun. much easy than XNA framework.

took a quick pic of a couple I had sitting next to me.

Custom PC does not come with a DVD. I have bought it on and off for many years and it never has come with a DVD.

PC Pro is a good magazine and that comes with a DVD loaded with stuff. I personally never once ever loaded the DVD :p I got PC Pro on monthly sub provided by my last job, not really relevant to modding/overclocking as such but very good reviews, stories and bundles of information on latest and upcoming tech so definitely worth a look if you are trying to find something new to keep you interested each month

I personally would not pay a sub or even the off the shelf prices for these magazines as it is utterly ridiculous. As above, it's all online and it's online before it's edited/printed/on a shelf.

I buy Custom PC over most others once in a blue moon if it has something specific I want to read which ain't online or I bought it the other month for a 3 hour train journey with no wifi :P

Personally I like to get away from my screen for a while.

Also PCformat often has fun projects they think up, like how to make a clock from an old HDD, or various applications for old PCs was in a recent copy I think. Sure all this information is on the internet somewhere, but I wouldn't think to look for it.

Sometimes it's nice to let others do the filtering of all the crap on the internet and present you with a collection of highlights with quality journalistic writing. Also the pages smell kinda nice.

I like to get a hard copy mag every now and again for when im on duty at work and cant get any internet. its good to have a flick through and see stuff you wouldnt really look for on the internet.
