Afterburner wont controll second card

hi all,

been having some bf3 stability problems which pointed me to GPU voltage [strange artefacts etc].

so kept gpuz open whilst running valley and found my second card not increasing its voltage to the volts as the first card when under load. have tried deleting/reinstalling afterburner and various non beta/beta versions etc to no avail.

unplugged my first card and ran the second card as the main card. [hope that makes sense!] re ran valley and found a similar thing, voltage not increasing to afterburner settings.

however, when I force constant voltage thru aburner it changes its voltage straight away.

.

put system back to normal with the first card now reconnected etc, reran valley and found the same thing again!.

the cards are 1 x 7970 gigabyte windforce 3x rev 1 [non ghz main/first card]
1 x his iceq x2 ghz edition

looking for some help on this one!

Are you sure both cards are capable of that voltage?

my main card [gigabyte] can definatly do it, it will do 1305mhz @ 1.3v

don't see any reason why afterburner wont let the volts past 1.25 [guessing ghz standard volts] on the second card [his] but if I run the card on its own it will change the voltage

appear to have solved it myself by using HIS's own overclocking tool "ITurbo" all voltages change and it seems to work correctly, wonder why afterburner doesn't like HIS cards anymore!
