First Time Build - Power But No Display

Update:

Tried again without the wireless card, no joy.

Likewise I reset the CMOS without any results.

Also removed the usb devices without getting video out.

Referring back to the speaker question from earlier, whilst the mobo doesn't have a built in speaker it does have the pins to allow one to be attached. I'll pop into a store tomorrow if I have the chance and pick one up. Would that rule one way or another if the mobo is the issue (i.e. if there are no beeps it's defiantly the mobo, etc.)?

Well ordinarily a motherboard will emit a series of beeps in certain sequences, you make a note then look in the manual and that gives you a heads up as to what could be the problem.

Easy way to test it would be to reseat your RAM (Reseat meaning to remove and re-install) - It should definitely bleep with no RAM in it. (Normally 3 long-ish beeps but it is board dependant these days)

Reseating your memory and give it a good blast of air wont hurt anyway.

The speaker typically looks like a very small black cylinder with 2 wires coming from it. - Just in case you didn't know.

Thanks for the reply :) I think I have one knocking about oddly (or like I mentioned I can buy one fairly cheaply I do believe). Just posting to say I am still trying to deal with this issue, just been absolutely swamped today so picking it back up tomorrow on my quest to make this damn pc work! :D

I've said it a few times but seriously thanks to everyone who has been trying to help, you have no idea how much I appreciate it! It's a first time build... and it's for my parents... and I go back to Uni next week so will be having to do a trip home to sort it at a later date. The more I get sorted now (even just determining if a particular part is faulty) the less stressed I'll be!!
