Best HTPC case around

I have a Moneual 320 with the display, i have an A6-3500 in there and it plays everything fine.

I have a few remotes including a logitech harmony (I don't think the original infra red thing works with non proprietry remotes but I bought a media centre remote with dongle) but I find i never use it and use my tablet to control it, the XBMC app lets me start it up and shut it down over my network and it boots in to XBMC then I use that or Yatse to control. If I need to do anything else on it I have Remotedroid installed on my tablet.

any other ir receivers that can do this apart from antec's ?

The reason I planned to use the MS remote was that the receiver is USB and external and I plan to run my HTPC inside a cupboard where it won't be able to pickup IR signals. :)

I'd recommend using a phone/tablet over your network if possible. Then you don't have to worry about IR and you can browse your library on the secondary device, queue stuff up etc

To be honest as well as it needing to be easy to use because of the missus, I would also rather everything was just controlled from one device (ie my harmony one) I hate having to fiddle around using different remote controls and that was the reason I bought the harmony. :)

I'm using the Logitech Harmony One with the built in Moneual IR receiver without any issues. Can I ask what you're using to run the VFD? I can't seem to get mine to work with the M.Play software at all despite the remote working flawlessly with Windows Media Center and MediaPortal.
