so I downloaded the bluescreen error thing because iv BSOD'ed about 5 times since Overclocking my CPU im pretty sure its not undervolted, blue screen check says about drivers so iv updated chipset, re downloaded nvida drivers fresh install, and double checked the OC seems safe, i dont know what the errors mean even when shown tho :/

1: 090613-7971-01.dmp

caused by: driver: hall.dll

2: same thing as 1.

3: same.

4:091013-7207-01.dmp

caused by: ntoskrnl.exe

help please :/

all is much appreciated

how far did you oc too? sorry I have 0 experience on haswell

but those seem to be os drivers which could be down to unstable oc/settings

ntoskrnl.exe is a Microsoft Boot Up Kernel

I went up to 4.2ghz, because the OC genie took me to 4 and i thought 2 more wont kill it, does this mean reinstall of windows and programs? :/ And thank you for helping me so far

no its just the overclock isn't stable so it will crash

I wouldn't use software to overclock with either tbh,it generally uses more voltage than what's needed

im sure someone will chime in on helping you oc it via the bios

Thanks its just weird it did prime 95 8 hours at 1.2v then i just played a game and watched a dvd and bsod, hopefully else ill have to create another thread and i don't like spamming forums :/

you might need a touch more cpu voltage

it can pass prime95 but soon as you stress the pcie bus in games/video ect it crashes

so its best to play some games after passing stress testing

also look in windows event viewer for any whea parity 19 warnings errors,if you see any up the cpu voltage one/two clicks at atime till there's 0 of those errors

Thanks, currently its at:

cpu core voltage:1.275

ring voltage: 1.125

at 4.2ghz

Which is latest vcore change since it crashed this morning, in gonna play some games like you said :), just trying to avoid going near 3 , that's ment to be highest ish vcore for haswell that iv seen

usually around 1.25v for 4ghz-4.5ghz but depends on the cpu

could be failing on memory/cpu imc voltage idk
