Rofl.. It's not even 30 years!! If they'd have said 1886 it might have been a slight challenge. Must be a slow day for news..
 
BBC had a three part series, 'Electric Dreams' where a family experienced technology through the 70s, 80s and 90s. Superb watch.
 
I did this a few months ago for an hour during a power cut.

Parents fail to convince their children to play outside. Decide that the appropriate, proportionate solution is to pretend the last 27 years didn't happen. OK, whatever.

There's a whole culture of people in the US who live their whole lives as if it's 1886. The Amish.

Then of course we have pretty much any Islamic state who live as if it is still 1086.
