CEX Q - exchange instore credit for cash?

I have £120 of instore credit at CeX but was wondering if I could exchange that for real cash? I would phone them but thought "to the internets" instead.

Reason why is, I want to buy the special edition of GTA5 but have no plans of buying anything from CeX just now. Better use that money for something I want at the present time.

No you can't exchange it for real cash, you could probably sell it for like £100 though as I've seen people do on avforums.

Nope, instore credit is just instore credit I'm afraid.

That sounds super dodgy. How would that even work?

Does that mean, if someone has my receipts, they could just use them without any verification?
