The only boards that support quad SLI are ones with a PLX chip (adds extra PCI-E lanes by doubling whats available from the CPU) which means they are huge money.

So getting back to reality, the one you have highlighted will do dual SLI and you can place the sound card in the very first slot above the gfx cards.

the sound card only worked in the x16 slot which takes up the space of where the other graphics card is meant to go.

trust me i have tried in other smaller x1,x8 etc i have posted a thread about sound card problems to get this fixed.

Stulid im sure you have helped me out a lot in my journey on OC. cheers for that.

Could you recommend any motherboards that are good for dual or quad sli with sound cards?

Prior to the spec in sig i used an Asus P8 Z77 V Pro. Good slot spacing for sli and i was able to put my xonar DX pcie card in the slot above the top graphics card. Cards used were gtx 670 wf x3's.

I think the one you originally linked to is fine, you dont really need a quad SLI board do you?

Setter has posted a nice pic of a SLI setup+sound card and a large K2 cooler.
