Anyone used Teletext holidays?

Seen a holiday on Teletext holiday that is £125 cheaper than all other places such as thomas cook and thomson etc. Any reason i should be careful with this site? I would be expected to pay transfer costs on top but are there any other hidden charges?

too much of a brand name to drop mainly for people probably around 40s. They love it. Similar to the post office for 50s, 60s etc

I still think that's where BT make most of their domestic money from, too many 50+ year old people who would only go with BT because... well they don't know why. Just because.

I remember that I used to play the teletext game which was guessing how many seconds it would take to go to the next page.

In hindsight it wasn't the best game I ever played as a kid.
 
I booked a holiday from Teletext without issue, this was 14 years ago mind...

Teletext stopped being broadcast in the UK last year, are you sure you're not just watching an old VHS ?
 
I remember my dad buying a TV with red, blue, green, yellow SPEEDTEXT buttons for teletext. All my mates thought we had the BEST TV on the street.
 
Yes, used the website a few years ago to book a package to Egypt. The website was a re-seller for an agency so when I booked I had to confirm things with a bloke over the phone.

As long as it is ABTA and ATOL bonded and you book using credit card then you should be fine. Enjoy your trip.
 
I have used them last year and had no issues, save yourself some money :) in fact I think I used them the year before too. Just check who the holiday is actually with and research them before you buy.
 
I remember all our old holidays when I was a kid were sourced from Teletext, my mum would be browsing and calling everyday to get good deals. But this was waaaay before the internet and the only real place to get decent offers... These days I don't know, sorry.
 
One place I wouldn't use again is onthebeach, booked a hol online got a call the next day saying it wasn't available they then took nearly a week refund the money after lots of calls, bear in mind this was a late booking and they had our money and couldnt book anything else until we got it back so we were pretty miffed.
