Got a DGM 27" Monitor

Noticed a problem where the monitor starts to make a weird buzz noise when playing certain games, at first I though it was just a breaking in thing or fan or something but after some trial and error I found out that the noise is caused by higher FPS in games.

In an example game

at a frame limit of 30fps: no buzz
at a frame limit of 60fps: low buzz
no limit (getting around 80-100fps): loud buzz

Also worked out that the buzz is coming out of the monitors speakers, if I put the speaker volume to zero I can run at any FPS with no buzz.

Anyone heard of this before?

Sounds like coil whine from the graphics card being transferred to the audio output. A well shielded sound card should eliminate the buzzing. It's a very common issue and one of the main reasons even a cheap dedicated sound card is worth buying.
