Looking for a SMALL machine something that will tackle all of todays games, ill need a monitor, keyboard, mouse the job lot, my budget would be around 1200/1300 if you can do it cheaper go for it :)

Alex

When you say small i don't know how small you went, so i went mATX. :D

Using the smallest MATX case which can accomodate long GPU's and Heatsinks.. (bar the prodigy M which is on pre-order)

This is very simular to my setup but better:

YOUR BASKET
1 x MSI HD 7970 Twin FrozR OC BE 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with FREE GAMES £287.99
1 x Intel Core i5-4670K 3.40GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £197.99
1 x BenQ GL2460 24" Widescreen LED Slim Bezel Monitor - Black £129.95
1 x Gigabyte Z87M-D3H Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard £92.99
1 x Samsung 120GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE120BW) £84.95
1 x Silverstone TemJin TJ08B-E Midi Tower Case - Black (SST-TJ08B-E USB 3.0) £83.99
1 x Antec High Current Gamer M 620W "80+ Bronze" Modular Power Supply £79.99
1 x Corsair Vengeance K65 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Silver - Red Switch (CH-9000040-UK) £65.15
1 x Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST1000DM003) HDD £53.99
1 x TeamGroup Elite Black 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (TED38GM1600HC11DC01) £47.99
1 x Corsair Raptor M40 Gaming Mouse (CH-9000041-EU) £44.99
1 x Prolimatech Megahalems Rev C CPU Cooler £42.98
2 x Akasa AK-FN058 Apache Black Super Silent 120mm Fan - 4 Pin PWM £9.98 (£19.96)
Total : £1,249.40 (includes shipping : £13.75).

Ways to make ti cheaper:

  • Drop down to a 7950 (Still will handle all new games well) Saving £85-£90
  • Drop the mech Keyboard and mouse for a standard set. Saving £80
  • if your not into overclocking drop the cooler and fans for a £30 Cooler instead. Saving £30

So you could potentally save £200. :D

But id still go with the spec above. :D

That's a good point.

In that case, go for the Vulcan and change the Mouse for the K40.

...and I cannot believe how much space your D14 took up, that is nuts.

Unless im blind I can't see a PSU in there.

The gene is a great board but id only reccomend it if your going xfire. Otherwise the gigabyte board would be my choice.

The prodigy is lovely.

The side window won't work with the prodigy M. Its the wrong side. :).

You waiting it out for the prodigy M then? :)
