Any VAG men here? Door mirror repeater question

Lo peeps, any VAG men here?

Just a quickie. Relative has clonked the drivers side door moor on the gate post and it's damaged the section of the mirror with the indicator repeater in it. The rest is intact and looks undamaged.

Question is how do you get at and remove the section with the repeater in it?? (2010 Jetta) I don't want to start guessing at how to unclip/remove bits and end up doing more damage.

There's a company called VAG Tune in my town and I was surprised to find out it wasn't a Gynaecologist.

But anyway, anyone know how the fangled things come apart? Or am I going to need special VAG tool.. 123899100919019001900?
 
I've not done a Jetta but have done plenty of similar vag cars.

The mirror cap comes off upwards (they're tight!) giving you access to the repeater lamp.

That's what I suspected, I just didn't want to go prying the thing until I was sure. I might order up a replacement first and then I can see the mounting points to give me a better idea. I'll have a look on YouTube late to see if anyone's stuck owt on there.

Thanks very much. There's a little more to it than I imagined but it doesn't look too bad a job. It'll be next weekend now before I get a chance thy o have a go.
