Afternoon chaps,

I currently run a Dell U2412M + a no name 17" monitor for netflix/internetting while gaming.

Been considering getting another 2 U2412M monitors for eyefinity on my current setup (in sig) just wondering how the 7970 will perform at 3x 1920x1200. If not great I'm thinking about either a 27" or 30" monitor and keeping the 24" for internetting/gaming on the bigger res monitor.

Just wondering on the thoughts of this. If I was to go eyefinity would I need to get another 7970 at the same time or just go for the 27/30" with the one GPU?

If you are gaming you will need 2x 7950/70 at least.
I had one 7970@1200/1600 with 3x 1920x1080 screens and I replaced with 2x7950@1100/1500, and it is much much better... most of games I can run in high settings, but I cannot use AA on high demanding games.

Since you have a 3960X you could go tri-fire :D
I would if could, but my MB doesn't support a 3rd card :(

I have a watercooled setup so would probably grab myself another 7970 or a 7990 if anything as the existing 7970 is in the loop already! :)

I think a crossfire 7990+7970 would be really nice :D
Actually I was thinking about that option since I can only run 2 cards.
