Batman: Arkham Origins : NVIDIA PhysX Gameplay Trailer

Looking as good as ever, but hope it plays better than the last one.

Cant wait for this. I have it waiting in my Steam Games list. Came free with one of my 670's

:D Looking good

Wil hopefully lookand run beautifully on my SLI 670.

One thing that i want to know is, for a game like this, would it better to use both cards in SLI or use one as a dedicated physx card?

Same as the last then, some steam/smoke and paper that moves around, you can't honestly tell me that couldn't have been implemented for everyone? Its hardly ground breaking physics.

I'll try it when I get the game but it just seems a little shallow to be boasting about imo.

+1.

I wanted to say the same but as im just an AMD Fanboy i didn't want to sling mud so kept my thoughts to myself.

I'm all for things like physx if it's actually put to good use, but effects like these just give the impression it's pointless, plenty of games have steam and floating bits of paper that aren't tied to a single brand of card.

More lazy developers then anything else.

Humbug (RIP) said to Thracks once that AMD should lock Nvidia out of TressFX and his reply is below.

If only Nvidia thought like that, everyone would benefit. As it stands, i just avoid Physx games.

Great PhysX effects, knew it wouldn't be long before this became AMD vs nVidia thread though.

You know it. here we go again:p

Not really. It would just be nice if it wasn't tied to a specific make of graphics card. That way everyone could benefit from it and use it and it would appear in more games. Currently any game worth its salt will just use Havok so everyone can make use of it.

We've heard it all before on here though. nVidia won't do it, simple as that.

Do I agree with it? No, but I can't change that.

Its not even a red v green thing for me, its more the fact the effects in this game and the other batman games seem pathetic to restrict to physx.

We've all seen impressive physics demos by physx, non of which end up in game, we get some steam and floating bits of paper.

Yeah but for once can we leave the thread about the title instead of bringing AMD into it as always.

I only brought those quotes into it to back up my point. If Nvidia had the same attitude AMD did we would all benefit. That's something i think we'd all like to see. I for one would like to use Physx on my AMD card without having performance intentionally crippled by Nvidia.

Anyway, I promise not to mention AMD any more in this thread now. :p
