This thread has no obvious meaning or value. I am not a fan of Cameron, but Putin has been sending millions to build a black sea resort for himself. Is there really any comparison?

I suspect Cameron's money hasn't come from anywhere near the same "dubious" sources as Putin's either.

I think the main difference, is that Cameron is just a privileged eton educated toff, whereas Putin is a former Lt. Col in the KGB..

The difference between Putin and Cameron is that 1 is an eton thug who had pretty much whole life handed to him on a plate, wealth connections you name it.

Putin on other hand, came from working class family, worked in KGB and somehow became an influential individual who managed to survive a war with oligarchs who with their wealth and power could give rockefeller a run for his money in his prime days.

To survive in Russia in 90`s and achieve so much influence is beyond any leader in the world had to go through.

I wouldnt be surprised that Putin is richer than Bill Gates since he is pretty much Tsar of Russia at the moment, due to Russia`s corruption levels you could pretty much say that Putin has most of Russian money... Guy is building himself a house worth a billion dollars.

Putin isnt a good guy, but knowing that he was no better off than an average soviet citizen and the crap he had to go through in 90`s, I respect him more than Cameron, sometimes I feel he doesnt even know what he`s doing.

Dont get me started on milliband.

This privileged Eton toff thing smacks of pettiness and I suspect bitterness of one's own impoverished background. His upbringing has helped develop him into a very capable man. Should people not be ambitious just because they are lucky?

You cant hold the fact his parents are wealthy and sent him to the best school they could afford against him, surely thats what we would all want/hope for our children?
The fact he went into politics and rose through his parties ranks to become prime minister couldnt have been easy.
With an eton education he could be earning a lot more than he is on a prime ministers wage, so im sure its not just money that motivates him.
Yes i would like to see him be a bit more like the common man, but thats not what is really important.

Cams wife is a daughter of Lord Astor and cam "made" 30m in the city before politics as well as his own dad leaving about 100m iirc, cash will never be a problem for the camorons.

There's a story that when South Africa abandoned racism cam went to SA as thatch's representative on the Brit team that went to deal with the SA nuke munitions and lost them in Qatar or Bahrain on the way back, how true it is I don't' t know but it's feasible knowing how stupidly self confident and arrogant the younger cam must've been.
