Hopefully royaly slow mail will deliver mine today but can't play it till got my littlins to bed at around half 7 tonight my son will love the cars but still won't let a 3 year old watch it then ill only have a few hours on it before ill have get some kip as I've got a job on tomorrow that I don't really want be turning up like a zombie otherwise ill be in the hospital then the missis really would kill me as we're off to butlins on Monday

Checked the RM tracker and mine is out foe delivery after getting to my local sorting office, I ordered from amazon so I imagine everybodys will be on time for release.

I woke up to check the rm tracker :p, it hadn't changed, back to bed then. I suppose by the time it does change to 'out for delivery' (or similar) it'll already have been delivered. I truly hope anyway!
 
So in regards to installing the game... Obviously install the install disc to the main HDD and then installing the play disk to a USB drive won't cause any terrain loading issues?

Is a certain USB flash drive required or can it be any?

The faster the read speed the better I guess. Also don't expect to use it for anything other than the egg box.

My rm has just updated to say it's at my delivery office. The only weak link in the chain now is my postie. I'll rain down hell on my delivery office if he buggars up my delivery. I'll demand his resignation!
 
Boy, is the opening underwhelming. The visuals and frame rate are initially disappointing, although the animation and effects are very nice... I've has to stop as my son is up and he cannot see/hear this game. Its clear from the opening that this is crying out for the next gen platforms.

No probs with the install to my Xbox branded [SanDisk] memory stick, which took around twenty mins I think.

Now I just need the kids to head off to school, so I can enjoy my day off.
 
Are the special content from the special edition available to purchase through DLC?

I don't feel like sending £25 more just on outfits and a baseball bat.
 
Played about an hour, seems very good so far, installed Install disk to Hard Drive and play disk to USB flash drive and no stuttering issues so far. Car handling and shooting are much improved (the latter is very similar to RDR). Humour is already spot on although a lot of swearing/N-word talk early on but that's part of the game so it's not necessarily a bad thing. World seems huge with masses to do already.
 
Ah sucks, the reviews I read so far states each character have a social ability, but the special edition extra says that's exclusive content? So that's not on the normal version?
