Just came back from buying the game, guess what was on the floor... argh. Well, I'm returning the shopto copy to say "shove it". Sure royal mail delivery was slow but it should have been sent out early to avoid this issue.

You got the game on release day, yet you're complaining? If you'd been patient and waited an hour you wouldn't have wasted a trip.

Sods law - at least it arrived.

Left to drop in laws at hospital and off to work, normal postie delivered about 20 mins after I left the house. No idea what the other parcels are!!

Tried to get the wife to install it whilst I'm at work but she wasn't playing ball! ("too many things to switch on" was the excuse).

The map of the environment looks really weird IMO!

I have my fingers crossed for this game....I'm a huge GTA fan and have loved every game of the series apart from IV which i thought was rather awful and a complete series let down...

I'm just annoyed at myself for wasting a days holiday expecting to get the post as usual at 9am. My fault really but I have lost faith in pre ordering online.
Yes I know this is royal mails fault BUT I wanted to cancel to give shopto incentive to ship earlier to avoid such issues. That was my point.

Advice from another board:

Advice: buy the pump action shotgun. Great range and one shot kills guaranteed.
Make sure you can pilot the chopper/plane well as needed in missions.
Buy a garage and store your done up cars in (one in grove st)
Get a quad bike to get up the mountain or you wont make it and end up having to walk for like 30 minutes to make the top. Or use the tram up.
Try to run with all 3 characters and up their stamina.
Have a break and do some games like triathlon or tennis etc. Its not all about missions.

quick question chaps. a few times i tried to look at leaderboards and now just tried to upload a picture with my phone. it says, online services is disabled on your account. does all the rockstar social connection stuff require gold ?

Really? Don't think anyone's that desperate to play. If you can't see work comes over a game. Frankly it's pathetic people taking days of to play a game. Wouldn't happen in a good career anyway.
