Asus 580 really cheap, safe?

Me and a friend found a Asus Direct CU GTX 580 on a popular auction site for cheap like £135 including pnp, The person said that the card is in perfect condition just that they want to sell it fast to get a new phone, Do you think its safe to buy?

I would not touch that at all at that price. 55 quid more and you have a brand spanking new 7950 or even cheaper the gtx 760.

Look around if you can spend a little more you could pick up a 670/7950, much better performance than a 580.

Always a risk buying a used gpu, if it was me I'd save a little extra and get a new 7970 or 670

The stock 7870 slightly outperforms a GTX 580, and it's £140 today. Plus it has more VRAM and uses half the power.

In no way is a used 580 worth anything like £135 in todays market. As someone has already said, you can get a brand new 7870 for more or less the same price!

580's can be had upto £50 cheaper than that..

For £140ish the 7870 is where you're at..
