What could possibly go wrong?

Finally replaced my 406 2.1TD which was on 230k when this came up at far too tempting a price, and I fancied the slightly more powerful engine and more toys. It really is in stunningly good condition, been very well looked after. Gradually sorting out a few niggles, but I'm enjoying it a lot!

2002 406 2.2 HDi Coupe Silver/Black Edition, 63k on the clock.

Looks very clean. Does it have Brembos? Will you get it de-fapped and remapped? Many of the diesel folk seem to do that over at the 406 coupe forum.

I still have my V6 coupe and still love the thing. Would love a decent stainless exhaust system, but my insurer won't touch a modded car.

406 Coupe still looks great, though most people only know them for nicking the brembos off!

So change Insurance company to one that is sensible and knows changing the exhaust doesn't turn it into a BTCC racer?

It's aged well - lovely car. The interior looks dated however.

No Brembos, it missed out by about 3 months

; HDis only had Brembos fitted until about April 2002, this was built 11th July. Considering retrofitting if I find a set of calipers at a decent price.

Lovely car. I really hankered after a 2.2 petrol in the Subaru-esk blue with orange leather and set of compomotive 6 spoke wheels after seeing the DTM car.

Get some tyre black on it.
