Asus HD 7970 Matrix Platinum

Wondering if anyone has experience with this card and ARMA 3 specifically? Currently running a GTX480 and seems to be suffering a bit and with the current deal I'm very tempted.

8320 @ 4.2GHZ
16gb Ram
27" Monitor at 1080p.

Also its showing the card as a pre-order, are OCUK good at getting these things in, or more likely a dreaded email...

Can't help with this game but OCUK don't tend to promise something they can't deliver on (certainly they've made good with all other recent pre-order deals), so I wouldn't worry about getting an e-mail from them

We've never ever let any customers down on a pre-order deal.

What happens is I request deals from a manufacturer and some I get. Once I get 110% confirmation, I then do a special pre-order promotion, as per this Asus Matrix deal. My stock is confirmed and already on the truck on its way too us, ETA is next Monday/Tuesday.

What some of our competitors do is then copy our deals, hoping they can get something similar, a lot of the time they cannot, as I either purchased all the stock or had a far better buy price. This is why sometimes our competitors do not honor pre-order deals and let the customer down. OcUK however will not let our customers down and we only list items on pre-order we are truly getting!

P.S. Apart from that its a great card, I did some testing a few months ago and it was my favourite 7970 of all time, the Lightning cards OC's marginally better by 10-20MHz core, but the cooling and monitor support on the Matrix are much better, it is also better constructed too. The only downside this card can struggle in smaller cases such as a Prodigy for over-heating when overclocked, it is designed for larger cases or open-air benches.
