Titan Ultra to be unveiled at unnamed event soon?

What ever it is in that top pic its a prototype. Dual fan as one blower on core then another fan bolted over the vrm cluster. Green pcb is a bit of a give away too, probably explains the lack of sli connector too.

Titan ultra? Perhaps but I wouldn't be surprised if its just the first of the maxwell cards appearing as they are touted for q1 2014 release.

Nvidia trying to steal AMD's thunder i reckon.

Or just release rumor about one, much like how Sony killed off Sega's DreamCast with PS2 rumor together with "leak spec" far more powerful than the actual thing right around the time of DreamCast launch :D

Yea that's probably close to the truth. Won't be long until we see the carpenters out mocking up the titan ultra :)

Thats definitely not a titan ultra, the numbers would appear to pre-date GK104/110 but more recent than GF110, (non-development) GeForce boards are usually 1102 and Quadro/Tesla 1005 and mobile 1002.

Its most likely either an early maxwell prototype, GK100/112 prototype or possibly a mobile development board for a new kepler mobile revision. It kind of reminds me of the maxwell sub-system from kayla split off to a development board of its own for debugging.

LOL. One of those udders looks remarkably like a very small... nevermind.

I guess this is another example of Nvidia milking people for all they're worth? :p Badum tish!

It's like ground hog day.

AMD Announce something which sounds amazing

Nvidia get tetchy and try to steal the limelight.

AMD's product turns out to be fairly mundane, is priced accordingly.

Normal service is resumed.

I like milk, milk is nice. You can taste milk. You can't taste yet to exist benchmark results, nope nope.

Awaits links to leaked shots of 3dmark with a really annoying "well h'actually" comment.

The thing that makes me laugh about these rumours is if you put a fully enabled GK110 chip on a Titan board you will get in theory another about 6% of performance (14SMX v 15 SMX modules). Then knock off a bit because the fully enabled chip won't clock as high (same thing happens when comparing a GTX 780 to a Titan) and you may end up with 3% or 4% of performance increase. You get more performance variation comparing identical Titans lol.

It is not going to see the light of day unless NVidia totally redesign the cards. This is not going to happen as the sales would be rubbish when people can pickup GTX 780s for a lot less.
