*** The Official Dark Souls II Thread ***

I have never even played the first one but I do like action RPG games and I've heard so many good things about it, think I'll pick it up to keep me going until next gen because I traded the rest of my current gen games toward PS4 and XB1.

I would definitely recommend playing Dark Souls 1 before getting 2. It looks like 2 will have a lot more invasions from other players than before, and I imagine the vast majority of Dark Souls 2 players will be experienced veterans of the series. If you jump into DS2 without any prior experience of the game, you will almost certainly get killed by everyone who invades you, and that'll be no fun for you at all. Better to get some game time in now so you're well prepared for what is coming :)

I get hammered every time I'm invaded (a lot of boosted players about at lowish levels) so I try to stay hollow. Well that strategy isn't going to work anymore! I spent 60+ hours on Demon's Souls and loved it. Finding DS1 hard but I think that's more to do with me trying to rush through it more than anything else. Need to go back to it soon.

EU release March next year for PC/PS360. There's life in the old PS3 yet.

Edit - Drunzer you deffo need to pick them up. Pretty brutal though but amazing games both.
 
Wow...that's quite a reduction. Thanks for the heads up, pre-ordered from Amazon but I kept my Shopto pre-order as well cause I have a feeling they might try and match that and they do reward points so we'll see. By the way, free first class delivery on time for launch? Have Amazon been doing that for long?

EDIT - My copy of Dark Souls arrived yesterday, date night last night and I have my friend's birthday tonight so will hopefully get stuck into it tomorrow night.
