Hi guys.

Our trusty Ford Focus estate has given us 5 years of virtually expense-free motoring, happy days! However in the last few weeks a number of things have started going wrong - this being perfectly timed as our baby is due any day now so, if possible, want to try and fix these asap.

Problem 1
One of the rear passenger windows has stopped going down (electric). This first started when it was used during a hot day, there was a slight 'ping' then the window stopped going down.

Problem 2
On the air system, it works perfectly if the air-recirculation button is pressed, however when we select to draw fresh air in from outside, it sounds like something closes within the system and stops the air flow all together (even though the fan will still be going at the speed selected). This now tends to mean either driving around with quite misty windows, or with the windows down and the rain coming in!

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, I hope i've explained the issue's well enough!

Cheers,

Rob

1 - Take the inner door skin off and take a look? Probably needs a new motor that could be had checply I assume (or a used one if they are not cheap).

2 - Checked for blockages? When the fan turns on it might be sucking the blockage in, hence the strange noise. I'd take a look at the pollen filter if it has one and then work back.

Mine stopped going up - far more irritating! Especially as it was -5c outside when it happened.
