COMPETITION: £800 XBOX/PS4 KILLER SPEC-OFF PLUS THEME (WIN 3DMARK ADVANCED)

how do you get windows onto the usb stick without a disc drive :p ?
You use another PC/Laptop/mates computer/internet cafe lol

Maybe eventually they'll start selling copies on USB sticks instead of or as well as DVD. After all your £80 is simply for the 25 digit Alphanumeric, the media is irrelevant. The only reason I use my DVD drive any more is to install Windows.

To be fair Microsoft are slowly catching up, Windows 8 upgrade gives you the option to create a USB installation stick I believe? Though that assumes you have a PC you are upgrading of course and doesn't help with a new build like this.

Lol, what if your other pc/mate/cafe won't let you :p

To be honest, I preview windows to be on disc, that way if the usb stick fails you dont lose your windows lol

lol. I think it should be available as a downloadable image so you can recreate a new USB stick or DVD should you need to, seeing as you're buying the license really anyway.

I seem to be able to scratch the hell out of discs in no time, no matter how careful I am with them :(

Also I think installing from USB is actually faster?

Updated original post to include the bloody DVD drive, happy now? :p

No kidding! 2 fail posts out of my previous 4; 50% accuracy. Shocking lol :)

*EDIT*

I'm all for using the usb install method, it seems much faster to me. There's some good instructables on the interbutts on how to make your own bootable windows disk, but since M$ released thier own thingymabob, I suppose they're a little redundant.

Microsoft's thingamabob, is just that an upgrade option I think, it wont help you with retail copies. So the internet guides still have their uses.
