Hi Guys,

Work has asked me to spec a Gaming PC... it needs to be able to handle all games and be future proof.

the budget is £4,000.

Need everything apart from a monitor.

Erm I'd say that budget is probably just a tad overkill. Especially seeing as you don't need a monitor.

No doubt Doomedspeed, Ethermaster, and Snips will have a field day with that kind of budget lol :D

Can't wait to see some specs lol

I know its overkill and ive explained that to them. But if that's what they want im not to fussed... i get to use it :D

EDIT: amended as stupidly got a 7950 included and only had 1 titan..

Hands down the stupidest spec i've seen in a while :D

A 4960X is a waste of money over a 4930K, you have specced a single Titan and a single HD7950  the SSD is slow, and the PSU is massive overkill :p

Not sure how I got the 7950, should be 2 titans LOL
Picked the higher CPU as no mention of overclocking and it is a work PC...
The Evo SSD is not slow and the barefoot is for the games to go on, so will be faster than a conventional hdd :)
Also OP said future proof, so big PSU to allow adding 2x extra titans as the board supports Quad SLI.

I have corrected my oversight with the vga cards..

With a spec like that you don't need me, Doomedspeed or snips86x to spec ;)

I apologise if you wanted peripherals thrown in, I got carried away :p

I would personally try for dual watercooling loops, but without knowing the case better, i'm not sure how to go about it.

Note that you will also need both an inlet and an outlet adapter available from various watercooling centered eTailers for the pump in order to use standard fittings. :)

*edit* I have noticed that there are no storage drives........

Why is no one including the keyboard, mouse, speakers/headset.

Everything except a monitor means those things right?

It does indeed, I've run out of time though, but there's only £515 left in the budget on my build, ought to cover a good mouse and keyboard or 10 lol :p

Edited original post to include now had a little more time.

I like how I just casually forgot about storage drives any kind of storage :D
Will fix later

Xeons are not the best for gaming at all games generally need high clock speeds not lots of threads.

the PSU is massive overkill :p

When overclocking any 2011 processor some people do recomend at least a 1000w psu as when these are clocked to high speeds they are very power hungry.

i know but if it was for work then he might want to have the xeons to do some proper work on. thats why i have 2 builds.
