Npower, Ripping me off ?

Ignoring the cost per units they're charging you etc.. what were the actual readings you wrote down when you a) joined British Gas, b) left British, c) joined N-Power, d) now? And how do they compare with what's written on the bills?

usually timestamped in the exif i believe, but most energy suppliers will take our word on it without proving it vigioriously

Time to bend over and take it up the tail pipe.

Not funny. :(

Anyway. I rang npower again and have spoken tonguy higher up.
He said i need to get a sparky to come test my equipment and meter to see if theres a fault in anything and its drawing lot of power.

He said if theres a fault in anything or the meter npower will pay for the sparky and to replace or fix whats broken. And then reduce the bill by estimating it.

I dont know if this is right or wrong but atm seems all i can do.

Iv also got a friend of mine who is gunna help me if the above dosnt work.

Thanks for the help guys. Realy do appriciate it.

hi mate.. been lurking this forum for about 10 years but decided to make an account when I saw this, you can do a lot better in area 23

Easily achieve 10.35 & 25 p/day, and that's an average from a pricebook not even a bespoke price

I am a consultant, not trying to earn here just offering advice

Why would you waste your money when you have had multiple people on here tell you what the issue is ??
Your original bill was too low, which has exaggerated your 2nd bill. Doesn't appear that anything is broken.

I know, but I have to take this step first before I can take it further.

Also, I found out today that the reading bg gave npower was a industry estimate. Meaning bg just made the number up.

Rang npower again today and they have out my bill on hold untill that had been investigated by them.
once that's been done they will come back to me with a propper bill and not one just made up.

Will keep you updated.

Thanks. :)

I don't really understand why you're bothering, you either owe the money to BG or Npower. It's kind of all a bit pointless tbh.

This.

There is nothing broken, the inspection is completely unneccessary, especially as you said it was inspected when you entered the property.
