Hey, i recently made a thread but didnt get the help i wanted (from Ethermaster) no offence to you other guys i just like Ethermasters specs!

Right, Im looking to spend £750 on the rig at the most! and i mostly want it for gaming and just some storage for pics and music, OS to be windows 7 home 64bit! would like it to be able to play BF4 at high settings! i had my eyes on the piledriver 8320 as its got good performance but cheaper than Intel!

Im not to worried about the stock cables and dont really need LED fans etc aslong as the case looks good! dont worry about SSD i will get that at a later date, and id like good 8gb ram and a disc drive!

i cant stress enough that my budget is £750 max (the missus has me undoor lock and key ;D)

i would really, really like the best i can get but like i said i dont need the fancy colour cables and LEDs etc! Colour preference is purple, green, orange or red!

Hope you can do this for me, pretty pwease with a cherry on top? ;D

I don't think there is a need to start a new thread, just update your old one with your requirements.

Anyhow, your concern for aesthetics is going to limit your choice of components. On a budget like that, I would be looking to get the best components possible without the concern for the case. This can be addressed later.

Yes, £16 over, but it's your best opportunity to get something worth while IMO. An AMD spec would not be advisable, you'll not get great performance compared. Stretch the extra £16, you will not regret it.

So that comes up cheaper than my budget!! nice! and well spotted beasty!

im a complete noob as this but im into it so much, i am going to build this myself!

What Nvidia card would you say the 7870 comes very close 2?

Best I can do for you, I can't really spec you like I normally would without a massive increase in the budget :( around £1050-£1250 then I can do a "normal" spec and note I don't touch optical drive with a barge pole ;)

P.S that spec is looking very good! maybe i need to get out of this "nvidia is best" thing! i think its because thats all ive had and i see anything else as crap but then how can i have that opinion when i dont know wtf im talking about? :P

thinking of it, i use steam for most my games now and i havent used the disc drive in a good 6 months in my current pc.. i guess if i really needed to put something on the pc with a disc i could always take it out of the current 1 and hook it up to the new pc for to install! and will give me a extra £20 to play with hmmm! u got the cogs working in my rusty brain ;D
