Budget CPU + Mobo Advice Wanted :)

Hey guys, I recently brought a MSI 7850 from OCUK great price now I need some more advice again.

My current motherboard is old, small (Flexatx) and my CPU is an intel G630, could anyone reccomend a CPU + Mobo combo which is worth upgrading my old hardware over but wont break the bank, Thanks!

- 1680 x 1050 Resolution
- Can be AMD or Intel
- Would I see any improvements in fps (None intensive CPU games)
- I don't video edit or any of that, Primary use is gaming

And an AMD alternative. Might want to get a better cooler though as these babies run hot!

I'd avoid that AMD board, lots of bad reports all over the internet. The Asus 970 EVO R2.0 if SLI/Crossfire isn't wanted (£90) is a lot better. Otherwise the Asus 990FX Pro, which is about the same price.

what is your budget? there is a 100 different price spec's that can be dont but 99 may not fit your price point

My budget is around 240, is there any cheaper intel processors you can reccomend.

Not bothered about overcloking.

Maybe i'll get that amd 8320

I would stick to Intel if you can, AMD's are a bit behind the times now.

and in that case i would go AMD as the i5 can be over clocked and an amd can, you dont have to go 8 cores ever. 4 or 6 is fine

i take it you dont have any plans for massive overclocking and no plans to runn SLI this would do fine in that case
