Halfords damaged my car!!

If you're not happy get them to replace it. Don't back down until you are 100% with the condition is as before the incident.

What a bunch of ameteurs.
So so easy to mar plastic like that why would you risk it on what is quite obviously a fussy customer's car.

I think the problem with a lot of the "run of the mill" bodyshops is that they normally just "process" most people's cars and most people aren't that bothered how it comes back so long as it is repaired, they just aren't used to people that like the car to be as it was before.

I would not say im a fussy customer as such, but i dont expect to get a car back that has paint that has not be polished and flattened properly, that just begs belief! nor do i expect to receive my car back with a screw driver mark to the door handle because its been dismantled incorrectly while it was being fixed, 1minute google and it tells me you can push the trim off from behind rather then damaging it from the front!

the body shop just called me with a really nasty tone of voice asking why im telling halfords not to pay them as im not happy with the job that's been done, and saying that im trying to dictate when they should be paid for a job they have done.

He wanted me to drive back down to the shop, but i said no i will email a picture, he can order me the part and i will fit it, i am not taking more time off work for this or spending my money on petrol and mileage!
