Can anyone recommend a good online place to get tyres?

Needing a couple soon and want to have a set ready to go as seem some crazy price differences in garages compared to online.

Yup, im just that damn funny :D

I don't have much advice, but what is the average amount one should pay to get a tyre fitted that was purchased online? I've always been put off by camskill.co.uk because I can't help but feel that the garage can't be bothered to fit tyres they didn't make any margin on.

I'm currently looking to buy a couple of new tyres (Want some Conti SC5's to match the 2 I had fitted in February).
Blackcircles seemed to offer more or less the best price, one of their "Premium" fitters is in the next village down from where I work and I get Tesco Clubcard points too :)

I was recently debating whether to get my tyres from Camskills and getting them fitted somewhere or going through BlackCircles and letting them fit it. It ended up much cheaper doing the former. Initially, I went somewhere down the street to get them fitted for fairly cheap but they didn't even have the right equipment so I went somewhere else where they were charging £17 per tyre for fitting. In the end, despite the price, I was happy with them because they did a great job. But as you say, not everywhere will want to fit tyres that you didn't buy from them. Kwikfit were quoting £13 per tyre for comparison...

Size dependent between 10 and 20 quid a corner dependent on the place.

Or if you get there early and they're quiet probably a tenner for the fitter and off you go

It's really a case of spending an hour so getting quotes, much like insurance renewal, prices fluctuate constantly.

I generally find online fully fitted services to be best, and least hassle.... I just CBA with the chore of finding the cheapest possible tyre in my range and then having to find the cheapest possible fitter.

It is worth shortlisting some tyres, maybe 3 models, and then going from there.

If my local backstreet guy (Dad and I have known him for yonks; he's not your run-of-the-mill 'dubious' back street tyre garage guy), can't get the tyres I want in, I've ordered off Camskill in the past and then all he's done is charge me a pittance for fitting and balancing.

If you don't know anywhere good where you can get them fitted however, then don't bother with Camskill. Go for somewhere that delivers to a garage where they're then fitted for you.
