Talk to me about E92s

While I don't doubt that the 6 series is a great car to drive (the gf's dad had a 640d which was lovely), it has a different image to the 3 series which in my mind more suits the older driver.

I don't think I will ever understand the reason people seem to try and group cars into age bands, do you think driving a 3 series makes everyone think you are young and carefree or something :p

If I could afford a current shape 6 Series I would buy it tomorrow!

My brother has an '07 335d and he loves it, no rattles from what I have heard when I have been in it. Only thing he wishes was that he got the hard top version.

Think it cost him about 15k 2 years ago.

He has the hard top version. The E92 335d is a Coupe. There is no convertible 335d and if there was, it would also be a hard top as the E93 has a folding metal roof.

It'd be great if people lost the sense of some cars being for 'old people', as it would mean they don't have to drive around in tiny heaps of crap.

Yes thats the one then, I don't keep up with them tbh :D

I have been looking at lots of 645s on auto trader over the last week.

It would be a terrible idea, I really doubt I could stomach the realistic cost of keeping one tip top, I have an excellent car already and don't even drive it that far!
They are really, really cheap though.....
