Asus z87k vs gigabyte z87-d3hp

As the title states which is would be better? (Just seen the offer with the free cooler for the d3hp)

Pc will have i5 4670
Amd 7850/7870 or Nvidia gtx 660/670

if you go for non-K CPU, you don't need the Z87 chipset anyway.

go for the bundle with cooler then.

gigabyte all the way, no experience of the boards but with uk rma etc gigabyte would def be my first choice!

Both are fine. The free cooler is an incentive for sure.

There's nothing much between them. Onboard sound is better on the Asus. Gigabyte has the cooler.

Yeah the 670 is the better one, but might be worth considering the 7950 as well.
I'd pick the giga personally

+1 for the 670 and Giga. Great board for single-card setups.

For the 670, be sure to pick something with a good cooler. These things clock pretty nicely.

You'll be having a similar setup as in my siggy

since my a78nx i've always liked asus, but if the gigabytes got a cooler you want bad, grab it. Then again the refurb corsairs at £40.00 are phenomenal value.

7950's a better choice than the 670. Obviously the 670 is more expensive than a £125 7850 though.

Thanks! Yeh I'm on a budget sadly so will be going for the best priced GPu, so the more I save elsewhere the better it can be (ie the free cooler)
It will be very similar to your signature make!
