Has anybody else had any issues with textures not loading on the PS3 version? When i was doing the flying lessons I got it really bad at one point. No textures were loading at all, everything was just grey.

Not here, done quite a lot of the flying school too.

Any pro tips for stockmarket just before final mission I'd be grateful.

It looks like the PS3 is the better platform for this game? Just hope they bring it out for the PC.

There's not much of a difference, but according to the Digital Foundry the PS3 has slightly better textures in some parts, while the 360 has a slightly faster framerate in some parts so I guess that's the trade-off.

This is so awesome!! Can't understand the graphics hate. It reminds me of portal 2 - low tech by modern standards but still looks amazing due to the sheer quality of the art/lighting/colours etc. The sea particularly in GTA V takes on such an incredible range of colours depending on time of day/weather etc and is just perfect every time. As is sunset/sunrise etc. Game is incredible to look at if you can sit back, avoid pixel peeping for jaggies and just take in the big picture.

Only minor gripes are the vehicle handling - I liked IVs realism, sense of weight etc and that when going fast you really had to think about braking in good time. It went a bit too far though and everything was a heavy barge. But in GTA V they've just gone too far back in the other direction and everything is on rails - no driving challenge at all. Other one is how much you can do with a simple character swap - repair/refuel vehicles/aircraft, refill lung capacity, respawn underwater treasure. Feels a bit of a cheat. But meh I can live with all that.

Some highlights for me so far...

I just took that Irish guy from GTA IV to the cult after helping him get away from his store robbery:). Hope that didn't remove any future encounters with him?

Some guy whos push bike I returned emailed me and told me he's rich and gave me 100k in shares!

After doing the army rampage I just found the 'militant hipsters' rampage straight afterwards, coming at me with their scooters/minis totally hilarious :).

Yep I noticed this yesterday. I think it was somebody from here too. Popped up just above the minimap

I had that happen once for about 10 seconds while I was driving, only once though in god knows how many hours. I've got a 750gb drive in my PS3, I thought that might have something to do with it.

I finished the main story last night, what an amazing game! Still so much to do.

Stuff about the stock market and Assassination missions:

I left all of the Assassination missions apart from the first until after the main story, so I had just under $29M with each character to play with... I managed to double it on all of them by investing in Debonaire for the Multi-Target Assassination mission, sleeping 3-4 times after completing the mission before selling up, but then things went a bit wrong for the Vice Assassination. Again, after sleeping 3-4 times the Fruit stocks seemed to level out at about 50% profit so I sold up with Franklin, switched to Michael to sell up but the stocks went from 50% down to 25%. I thought it must be a bug or something so loaded up the first save just after completing the Vice Assassintion, slept a few times again but this time, the stocks only went up to 21% before going back down. :(

It was late at that point so had to stop trying, I'm hoping when I get home tonight I can get the profits back to 50% for all three characters!

Its coming from PC gamers who couldn't wait for the PC version and are playing it on a console sat at a desk with a monitor viewing distance.

Sat 1 foot in front of a screen when compared with PC graphics the console graphics will look poor.

For those of us that game on consoles 24/7 and don't game on PC much (if at all) and have a much larger viewing distance we don't notice it.

But since when did graphics make a game ?

How do you turn the story mode off? it did tell me at the beginning but i cant remember now. Sometimes i just want to explore.

I play it on PC monitor and have nothing but praise!

Rockstar have acknowledged the garage bug/saved cars disappearing. Apparently they are working on trying to confirm why it happens/how to stop it but think it may be related to driving Michael's car as Franklin etc.

"The makers of Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) have warned players about parking cars in garages in the game until a bug can be fixed.

Rockstar Games say they are looking into a glitch that sometimes causes cars to lose upgrades or completely disappear from safe houses.

In a support forum developers said they are "looking into" the problem.

"Unfortunately, we do not currently have a workaround to recover a car if it is missing," they added.

The main characters in GTA V are Trevor (left), Franklin and Michael (right) "In the meantime, please try to avoid parking a car in a garage, driving one already in a garage, or getting in a default vehicle, when playing as a character other than the one with your upgrades."

Grand Theft Auto V, which is set in "a satirical reimagining of modern Southern California", is the first game in the series that allows players to jump in and out of the lives of three simultaneously playable lead characters.

Rockstar suggested the issue may occur if players drive different characters' personal vehicles.

They added: "Also please note that vehicles saves in the garage of one safe house (Franklin's Aunt's) may not show up in the garage of a different safe house (Franklin's Vinewood Hills)."

It has been reported that GTA V has taken more than $1 billion (£624 million) in worldwide sales since being released on 17 September.

Rockstar suggested players should subscribe to their support site feed for automatic updates on the issue. "

No, there was this thing that popped up right near the beginning saying to turn this on to stop the time and story mode so you can do your own thing.

I think you mis-read it, there is no way to turn the story mode off as far as I am aware. Just ignore the story missions, it's the same thing.

I think the only thing you can do is go into your mobile phone settings and put on flight mode/silent mode (or something like that). That will stop story progression/people calling you.
