GIF thread question. YES or NO

Yeah, I can see that, but that doesn't mean the ones posting them will adhere.

We rtm them, or tell them to get the spoiler tags wrapped quick before you chaps arrive.

Those who want the boobs to stay should be happy to help enforce a rule that keeps them available.

Non tagged boobs are treated like non covered boobs and then the standard stays. I'd be happy with that if it keeps the other guys happy.

Personally I'm also happy to leave the thread as it is, but if it's causing issues for enough people then the spoiler tags is the best way to mediate between boob-friendly workplaces and the torture offices the other people inhabit.

Regardless of the decision you make, you're going to get bouncing titties being posted in that thread by some noob who hasn't noticed the recent change in policy. It's either tell them "no boobs allowed" or "boobs allowed in spoiler tags only". It's still another rule to enforce. The only option that doesn't involve extra moderation is leaving it as it is.

Based on the last time I looked at it, the easier solution would be to just call it the OcUK softcore porn thread and get rid of the non T&A related gifs :p

Why do people think they have some kind of right to be able to browse forums at work? You want people to bend around the inconvenience you suffer from not being able to safely browse OcUK at work in case someone sees some jiggling boobs?

No, just don't browse forums at work.

Even when I worked at the DWP, I never went anywhere near a forum thread that could contain images, especially an animated gif thread which not only could contain boobs, injury or accidents etc.

Just stay out of the thread and wait until you get home, you can't blame anyone else if you do enter and boobs, bums, accidents or injuries fly across your screen.

What's wrong with people taking responsibility for their actions these days? You're at work and during your break you choose to view a thread known to contain risqué images?

Wow. Just wow.

That'll never catch on with you yoof these days.

The problem is that most posters in GD are essentially toddlers. They don't understand parameters or limits and the idea of self-moderation is alien to them*. Coupled with this is the problem that the stuff that most people want to see involves attractive ladies. It's a partnership doomed to failure.

The spoiler tag idea initially appears to have merit but then you get into the whole judgement call of what is appropriate/what is not appropriate, i.e. back to square one.

I don't think we should have a GIF thread with non family friendly content. It goes against the entire message (hurr) the forum tries to convey and we're not capable of not posting the very stuff that sparked this discussion.

* I am aware of the irony here.

The rules lasted about 10 posts in the last GIF thread.

You can't expect people to use spoilers, when they haven't mastered image quoting (although I think it would be the best implementation) :p

Just use reddit gifs, they are all SFW or marked otherwise and thats where all the GD ones come from anyway.
