The only reason I could think that wasn't a penalty is that the attacker carried on to take the shot at goal. Hence the 'advantage' was played whether the ref actually indicated any foul or not.
 
I'm don't think Rodgers will rest too many players tonight, I reckon it will be :-

Considering Johnson is injured he wont play..

If i could pick the team id go with

Kelly,Skrtel,Toure,Enrique
Lucas,Gerrard
Alberto(or Sterling?)
Suarez,Sturridge

Though even Kelly fitness is still iffy but yet Rodgers has had him on the bench a few times surely its better by now to least give him first half. WE shouldnt bother trying 4 CB again and im not sure id throw Sakho back in he hasnt impressed me allot yet

Lucas & Sturridge both need resting (in an ideal world Stevie would also be rested, but he is bound to start against Man U). Moses needs games, I think Toure and Sahko and ready to go as a partnership

Very true point, I do prefer that line up but i just cant see him dropping Sturridge or giving Kelly a run out :(
 
yeah, its obvious to anyone that watches our games those 3 in particular are looking dead on their feet after 60 minutes. He might not go with Kelly, but would prefer to see him given the nod over Wisdom. Aspas needs to bulk up or we need to start playing to his strengths, and given he was the one hooked at HT on Saturday I can't see him starting.

Maybe Suarez on the right in palce of Sterling and Ibe leading the line?. Or Aspas in place of Saurez and he comes on 2nd half.

Probably a poor quality stream if you can find one that is, ill probably be watching it from a stream if there is one available. I dont expect to find one thats good quality though even though ive got fibre at home.

Really hoping tonight we win, its a tough game as WBA are a decent team but i think we have a bit more quality to win this. I suppose Ozil will be starting unless Wenger gives him a rest and uses him as a sub tonight, either way a few assists tonight from Ozil will be most welcome. Hope Bender scores a few tonight if he starts in place of Giroud.

This is where this decision and the Arsenal one were wrong and they should be employing the 'advantage' situation more like how it is in rugby.

Maybe they shouldn't let the play go on for quite as long, however there needs to be a bit of common sense applied as, for me, that should have been a penalty.

i'd expect a starting 11 of:

Viviano/Flappy

Corporal Jenkinson, Vermaelen, BFG, Nacho

Flamini, Arteta, Eisfeld

Gnabry Ryo

Big game Bendtner

I'm interested in seeing how Eisfeld, Gnabry and Ryo do. I've really seen that much of them. That line up should also give us a solid foundation too
