Anyone familiar with female front rock bands?

Yeah seems like the guy isn't answering the thread at the moment about the song :(

Well since some people are recommending stuff, here's some to try out (Not going to embed the Youtube links as it'll drag the thread loading ;))

The Creepshow (
)
HorrorPops (
)
The Dresden Dolls (
)
Curve (
)
L7 (
)
The Distillers (
)
The Dead Weather (
)

Go back many years and the likes of Doro Pesch fronting Warlock, Lee Aaron having her own band, Lita Ford and not forgetting the one and only Joan Jett, then the all Female rock band vixen.

As for finding out the song have you tried shazam?

I wrestled a bear once are one of the worst bands in existence, "0mg we're so wacky having a female singer and colourful music videos with **** mathcore"

Listen to Rolo Tomassi if you want something better along those lines. I'm not a fan but their singer is pretty fit

Keep checking this thread hope someone has found it,
I think at 12 seconds the lyrics are something like

Everythings so great it started out so nice.
but many googlings later still nothing

Can't help with identifying the band i'm afraid.
Actually went through my HDD and realised how few female fronted bands I have out of 1000s. Could count on 1 hand.

Anyone who doesn't listen to Dead Can Dance is missing out though. Not rock or anything but awesome. (especially live).

One of the few female fronted rock bands I like is The Reasoning.
Sometimes male vocals too but still really good.

Otherwise I like Ayria and Zombie Girl :cool:

I was really hoping you would find out who it was :(

On the subject of female fronted rock bands, to add what has been posted...

Guano Apes (surprised they haven't been mentioned already)

Auf Der Maur

Sahara Hotnights (all female band)

173 female fronted bands right here.

Link

Of course, everyone will disagree with the ranking, but it's a pretty comprehensive list so worth a link.

Within Temptation - awesome, especially the older stuff. I love the song Angels.
Halestorm - they're pretty good live. The singer is fit as anything.

Some good ones on there :)

I got bored of adding them to spotify at around 50 though, so I'll listen to these and see how I go :p

If we're just naming female-fronted rock bands...

Jess and the Ancient Ones

EDIT: And Arch Enemy can't go unmentioned either :D

This area used to be my expertise, but the whole female-fronted rock/metal thing became saturated by the late 2000s and I moved on. I can't think of one decent female-fronted metal band these days.
