Images of Abandoned Places

Would have preferred some of those to have been a little less over the top with the editing. Kind of takes some of the reality away imo.

Amazing image of the sunken yacht.

Thanks for sharing these. :)

EDIT:

Looks very like the theatre from the scene in "Clockwork orange"

LOVE this kind of stuff. I am currently flirting with finding an 'UrbExed' site that has lots of ghost stories attached and combining the two for a short ebook. I tried Fair Mile Asylum with no luck.

Does anybody else think imperial walkers when you see picture 4? I wonder if Mr Lucas got his inspiration from them.

Awesome pics!

Another strange abandoned site in Russia, a high voltage test facility which created the worlds longest man-made lightning.

Some fantastic pictures there. Always amazed how massive some of these structures actually are.

That reminds me, Wired (i think?), did an article on abandoned satellie stations or something a short while back. There was one in Lincolnshire (near me) that i wanted to visit.

Now if i could only find the poxy article :(

Nice post OP! Thanks!.

Edit: These are the dishes i mentioned, https://witness.theguardian.com/assignment/51bf1439e4b08f0b0eb201ae/374290

I live about 15 miles from your location and would love to go to Stenigot and get a few shots. I went to Nocton hall a few months back and got some great images :)

Photo was taken with an iPhone 4S

I live 2 miles away from an old asylum in Sunderland called Cherry Knowle. Would love to try and sneak in and get some pics ....
