Will games will you be playing?
If you're waiting a couple of month's a lot will have changed come then, AMD have new cards coming out soon etc.

You'd be better off waiting or if you have some of the budget now, relating to what games you play we may be able to spec you a simple gaming machine for now that's cheaper.

Also you already have this thread:

Simcity you could run off a £600 budget tbh with AMD, I asked as you won't need to spend that much if you're only playing a few games & doing coursework. I'd wait till you have a decent budget, £600 would be enough for what you need tbh, as below:

YOUR BASKET
1 x HIS HD 7850 IceQ X 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (H785QN2G2M) £129.95
1 x AMD Piledriver FX-8 Eight Core 8320 Black Edition 3.50GHz (Socket AM3+) Processor - Retail £113.99
1 x Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 AMD 970 (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard £86.99
1 x Samsung 120GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE120BW) £83.99
1 x Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST2000DM001) HDD £67.99
1 x Avexir Core Blue Series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (AVD3U16000904G-2CW) - Blue Light £55.99
1 x Corsair Builder Series CX 500w Modular '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply (CP-9020059-UK) £54.98
1 x NZXT Source 210 Elite Midi Tower Case - Black £39.95
1 x Be Quiet! Shadow Rock Pro SR1 CPU Cooler £35.99
Total : £691.24 (includes shipping : £17.85).

Something like that will be perfect for your needs I imagine.

hello, thanks for the reply, i would probably prefer a better looking windowed case as i would rather have it look good, i have always wondered if a branded monitor is a better option such as a samsung or an asus ? or does the brand not matter ?

IIyama is one of the most respected monitor manufacturers out there.

The case choice is a subjective one. If you want windowed then perhaps look at the Corsair or Parvum Systems cases. They are well built, but make sure you get one with front USB 3.0.

i would be willing to pay parvum quite a bit if they were to make a custom full or midi case, do they do things such as that ?
