Game stutter wiht new Graphics card?

So i still have the same specs as before,
8Gb ram.
phenon 2 x4 3.3ghz cpu
gigabyte mobo
and i did have a HD 6950. I didn't have any stutter problems with that.
But i upgraded to a GTX 770,.a nd now in BF3 and other game si get random Lag spikes while playing, even though my FPS is high.
Whats could be the problem? (I have latest drivers)
 
Have you done a driver sweeper to ensure old ATI Drivers have been removed?

It could be a bottleneck issue. Have you tried using v-sync?

Does it happen in single player and multi player? If it's only multi player it's likely your CPU can't keep up.
 
^^ Look for the ati catalist control centre, easy peasy.

You will defo need a cpu upgrade dude, i was useing the same cpu (athlon ii x4 640) and that bottlenecked my 7850 quite a lot.

It seemed to be smooth in SP. So must be CPu then :/ Thank you.

Yeah it seems to be the CPU,.. i'm going to get the 3770k then. Is there going to be a pricedrop on them anytime soon? (New CPU's coming out?)
