Cheers for those images arknor, tbh I didn't think the dirt paths were that bad - nice a smooth even on 23c tyres, but it looks easy enough to skip half the paths
Will give that segment a go at some point but at 18st I don't hold much hope at getting up it at any speed.
yea I just don't like riding on them because of all the dust in the summer weather and if it's been raining the night/day before they can be really bad.
you seem to have got lost here btw near the tidal basin
Your route
My route
As you can see my route is almost a straight line towards the millennium bridge
I turn into the newly built houses and head to the end of that road which brings you onto the paved path along the river heading down towards the tyne bridge.
Eventually you end up here which I guess you likely know anyway
The junction is not as busy as you would imagine there's usually only 1-2 cars
it almost looks like you need to turn left here to get back next to the river but your not !
Obviously you don't have to follow my exact route but just incase you want to make it easier for yourself
btw does it make loads of noise when you go over the millennium bridge lol

also loads of idiots walk 2 abreast over the shared cycling side! even when they could have gone over the pedestrian only side! but at least the noise makes most of them realise they are about to get run over.
also don't forget to do it in reverse sometimes once you know the route properly to get on some more segments
well done though you seem to have got lost about as much as I did my first time and I was trying to follow a blue line on a map lmfao
BTW near warburtons smells amazing when they are baking
