Found this chap outside today, he caught my attention as I've not seen anything like it before. I've checked a few sites but couldn't find him. Can anyone help?

Pretty sure its an obese house spider.

Spider obesity is a serious problem in the arachnid community and you should encourage the young chap to move about more. Perhaps let him run around your face?

Bet it's claiming benefits then posting about how foreigners are taking all the jobs.

The nerve!

As for Op, that looks like the spider the pizza guy pointed out was sitting on my shoulder yesterday evening when I went to collect pizza. Damn thing do I look like a taxi?

Thread hijack, anyone know about tiny luminous spiders? Really, really small, about the diameter of a garden pea including legs. Seen green and red ones out in the back garden, their colour is quite striking, but they definitely are not crab spiders

i think its a harvest man of some description.. not technically a spider!
they only have two eyes, does it only have 2 eyes..go on..have a look

btw thats a really cool harvest man

Yeah, having no real expertise on spiders, i'd have said it was a harvestman too. I knew harvestmen weren't spiders, but i was totally unaware it was because they had 2 eyes!

it wasnt long ago i found this out, its just one difference, if you look at the body you can see it is a single blob rather than discreet sections on an arachnid
also, how their legs join their body looks different. they look like little solder joints i think
